Plan for asynchronous checks, upload sizes, and safe retries.

Retry deliberately
A 429 too_many_checks response means the account has reached its concurrency limit. Wait for checks to finish, then retry with backoff. Avoid tight polling loops; 10-15 seconds between requests is adequate.
- Send a unique Idempotency-Key for each logical check and reuse it when retrying that check.
- Fix validation or authentication errors before retrying them.
- Keep the check ID so you can resume polling after a network interruption.
- Use webhooks for completion notifications and polling as a fallback.
Accepted documents
PDF, DOC, DOCX, and TXT files are accepted. Documents with images of text are not supported.
