A similarity scan in progress no longer has to hold up the rest of your checking. Paid users can now upload other documents and run AI checks while waiting for a similarity report.
This removes a restriction in the previous workflow, where a running similarity scan prevented you from uploading another document until it had finished.
Keep working while similarity runs
Previously, once you started a similarity scan, your next upload had to wait. Even if you only wanted an AI check on another document, the active similarity job blocked that upload.
With this update, you can move on to another document while the similarity report continues processing. Your AI checking workflow can continue without waiting for the similarity queue to finish that job.
What can run at the same time?
You can have a similarity scan running while uploading another document for AI detection. For example, you can request similarity results for one paper, then check a separate draft for AI while you wait.
The limit on similarity itself stays at one running scan at a time. You cannot start two simultaneous similarity scans; wait for the first to finish before starting another.
What this changes for your workflow
The benefit is being able to continue working with other documents. This update does not make an individual similarity report process faster, but it removes the need to pause other uploads during that wait.
The feature is available to paid users. The next time you have a similarity scan in progress, you can return to your dashboard and upload another document for an AI check.
